ITAGAR, February 28: Security forces in Aruchal Pradesh during a joint operation arrested two NSCN cadres along with arms and ammunitions from Jongrom Village in Changlang district. They rebels were arrested on Thursday during a joint operation carried out by 14 Assam Rifles and district police in the village, a delayed official communiqué said here today. Two pistols and ammunition were also seized from their possession. A regular crimil case has been registered against the cadres. Police remand of the arrested NSCN cadres is being sought for interrogastion, the communiqué said. Changlang police has submitted three proposals to the district magistrate for preventive detention of drug smugglers and extortionist of Bordumsa and Diyun area under Aruchal Pradesh Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 2014. The DM has already issued one order for preventive detention under Bordumsa Police station in this regard, the communiqué added.
