Two thieves arrested in Golaghat

April 3: A four-member gang of thieves has been creating terror in Golaghat town since the last 2-3 months.

The people of Golaghat are living in fear and insecurity due to continuous incidents of theft in the town. Just two days before this, the gang had targeted a computer dealer and service centre in the heart of Golaghat town where laptops, LEDs and other electronic gadgets were looted worth several lakhs of rupees.

At last two members of the four-member gang were arrested by the police. According to the police, the latest incident of theft in the computer dealer centre was captured in the CCTV installed in the premises and based on the CCTV footage, the police launched a search operation and filly were able to b the two thieves.

The arrested thieves have been identified as Mintu Rabidas and Bhupen Bora. However, the other two members of the gang are still absconding and police investigation continues. This arrest has made the people of Golaghat heave a sigh of relief.
