Two toppers from Sivasagar district

Joysagar/Sivasagar, May 25: In Sivasagar district the overall pass percentage has been recorded as 65.54. while a total of 13,042 candidates appeared in the HSLC final examination this year from the district, 8,548 candidates have come out successful. Altogether 3,437 students secured Ist division, 3,431 students secured 2nd division and 1,680 students were placed in the third division in the district. Two sub-urban areas of the district like Amguri and Demow have come out with flying colours. Shivanuj Barkotaki of Amguri AHD High School stood 7th in the State while Gunjanan Baruah of Demow secured the 8th place. The Sivasagar Government HS MP School has registered a pass percentage of 98. In Assam High Madrassa final examination, the overall percentage in the district is 78.13%.
