Two women NDFB (S) rebels in cops net in Kokrajhar

KOKRAJHAR, June 13: Two women cadres of the tiol Democratic Front of Bodoland (NDFB-anti talk faction) were arrested by police in Kokrajhar district on Monday. The two cadres were identified as Ansuri rzary alias Ansu (20) and Rekha Mushahary (18).

Kokrajhar Superintendent of Police, SP Saikia said the two cadres were arrested based on intelligence input regarding movement of two women cadres. Ansuri was arrested from Theka Bazar area under Kachugaon police station in Gossaigon subdivision of Kokrajhar district while Rekha was arrested from Bishmuri area under Kokrajhar police station.

Around Rs 1 lakh in cash and a mobile phone with SIM were recovered from the possession of Ansuri. The amount was extortion money collected from businessmen, contractors and was to be handed over to G. Bidai, the outfit’s self-styled vice-president, Saikia said. The SP said the apprehended cadres worked under the command of Khouse, a low-rank cadre operating from Myanmar and were used as courier in the extortion racket.

A case has been registered vide Kachugaon police station Case No-49/2016 u/s-120(B)/121/121(A)/122/284 IPC R/W Sec.10/11/13 UA(P) Act. Interrogation is going on.
