Udalguri College to host tiol semir on biodiversity

UDALGURI, April 23:  Udalguri College will host a tiol semir on the theme ‘Problems and Prospects of Bio-diversity Conservation and Sustaible Development in NE region of India’.  The tiol semir is sponsored by UGC and will be held on June 18 and June 19. Bio-diversity is a key feature or element of the tural resource base and its interaction with technological and socio-economic dimensions, determines the pathway of development. If the existing technological, socio-economic and institutiol processes erode bio-diversity and functiol elements, the resulting development process will not be sustaible in the long run. However, if bio-diversity is well maged such that its structure and functiol relations are kept intact, then a more sustaible pathway for economic development can be achieved, the press release issued by Dr Luke Daimari, the Principal of Udalguri College stated.  There will be sub-themes like Problems and Prospects of Bio-diversity Conservation and Sustaible Development in NE Region of India, Impact of Climate Change on Bio-diversity, tural Disaster and Bio-diversity, Role of Education in Conservation of Bio-diversity and Sustaible Development, Need of Conservation of Bio-diversity and Sustaible Development in Agriculture Sector, Economic Prospects in Conservation of Bio- diversity and Sustaible Development, Bio-diversity Potential in Eco-Tourism, Present Trend in Conservation of Bio-diversity and Sustaible Development in the Himalayan Eco-Region, Role of Society/NGOs in Bio-diversity and Sustaible Development, and any other topic related to Bio-diversity and Sustaible Development.
