UKAA felicitate medal winners

GUWAHATI, May 4: United Karate Do Association, Assam felicitated 19 state karate players for their magnificent performance in the different national level championship. Four among the 19 players were also selected in the Indian team for the forthcoming 17th Asian Cadet, Junior and U-21 Karate Championship scheduled to be held in Japan. The felicitation function was held at the AOA conference hall which was attended by veteran sports organizer Premadhar Sharma along with the president of SJFI Subodh Malla Barua, AOA senior official Anup Choudhury and the officials of the UKAA including Working President Bhuban Lahkar. The four players who were selected in the Indian team for the forthcoming Asian Championship were Iman Gogoi, G Kashyap, Jyotishman Kashyap and Nishad Ali. All the players received cash incentives from UKAA for their medal winning performance while Iman, G Kashyap, Jyotishman and Nishad received additional Rs 10,000 each for their forthcoming trip to Japan.
