DIGBOI May 23: ULFA cadre Akon Moran (28) of Tekeri in Buba village under Pengaree police station was apprehended by team of security forces on Monday afternoon from Tekeri. According to sources, based on a tip-off, Army personnel apprehended Moran who has been accused of various crimil charges including extortion, kidpping, and theft and providing arms to his fellow cadres. The sources informed that his activities were mostly confined to Tinsukia district and Sadiya in particular. The security forces recovered a 7.6 mm pistol and seven rounds of live ammunition from the possession of the ULFA cadre.
