ULFA (I) rebel bbed in Golaghat

Golaghat (Dhekial), Feb 13: On the basis of specific information, the Superintendent of Police of Golaghat, Manbendra Dev Roy along with 142 Bn CRPF 2nd Commandant Neraj Kumar and Dergaon police launched a joint operation at village Jelehua Gaon under Dergaon Police station on Saturday.

In the operation, a hardcore ULFA (I) cadre Pranjal th alias Sailendra Asom alias Protim Asom, a resident of Jelehua Gaon was apprehended. After that he was taken to Dergaon police Station and interrogated. During investigation, he revealed that he joined the ULFA (I) outfit in 2011 and he had undergone training in Myanmar.
