Undertrial prisoner dies

GUWAHATI, May 2: An under trail prisoner, Jitu Choudhury who was languishing in Guwahati central jail died on April 22 at GMCH following a health disorder. The jailbird hailed from Tepesia village under Boko police station of Kamrup district. The deceased suffered infirmity in the jail and accordingly he was shifted to GMCH on March 31. However, he succumbed to death on April 22.   To unearth the grounds behind the mysterious dead, the Kamrup (M) district magistrate has endorsed the ADC cum executive magistrate Jituraj Gogoi to investigate the episode and submit a report within 15 days.
