Victory in North Cachar Hills Speaks of Trust on BJP: Ranjit Dass

GUWAHATI: The North Cachar Hills Autonomous Council Election results were announced on Wednesday. Out of the 28 seats, BJP won 19 seats, Congress won 2 seats, Independent Candidates won 6 seats and AGP won 1 seat. President of State BJP, Ranjit Dass commenting on BJP’s success stated, “The victory speaks of the trust and confidence that the public has on BJP. The faith of the people still holds strong on PM Modi and CM Sonowal. We already triumphed in the Panchayat Elections and also in the Town Committee Elections at Karbi Anglong district. The success in NC Hills speaks is owed to the development agenda of BJP.”

State BJP has arranged a Panchayat rally at Sarusajai Stadium on Thursday, which will be attended by the CM of the state and also State BJP in-charge, Mahendra Singh. The 26 thousand Panchayat representatives who won in the recent Panchayat Elections will grace the meeting.
