GUWAHATI, Feb 16: Assam Cricket Association picked the Assam team for the Vijay Hazare Trophy to be held in New Delhi from February 25. Arun Kartick will lead the team while Abu Nechim Ahmed will be the deputy.

The squad: KB Aru Kartick (Captain), Abu Nechim Ahmed (Vice-Captain), Pallab Kumar Das, Amit Verma, Amit Sinha, Pritam Debth, Wasiqur Rahman (WK), Sibsankar Roy, Syed Mohammad, Mrinmoy Dutta, Pritam Das, Arup Das, Rahul Singh, Rishav Das, Gokul Sharma.

Stand Bye: Riyan Parag, Sanzow Barhma, Hrishikesh Tamuly, Jitumoni Kalita, Sarupam Purkayastha.

Assam are placed in Group A with Punjab, Odisha, Harya, Railways, Vidarbha and Baroda. They face Punjab in the opener on February 26.
