Vir Raghav Moran Award for Social Worker Sukhedhar Dahotia

GUWAHATI: Distinguished social worker Sukhedhar Dahotia has been chosen to be honoured with the Vir Raghav Moran Award by the Government of Assam.

Sukhedhar Dahotia was born in 1943 and hails from Tinsukia. He has worked profusely for the upliftment of the language and culture of Moran. Five books are credited to his name and has strived hard for innumerous social causes. The award is a first, to be started by the Assam Government of Cultural Affairs Department in association with Axom Moran Xabha on December 17 at the Sherman Kalakshetra auditorium. The award will hold prize money of Rs 2 lakh along with a citation and an angabastra and will be handed over to Dahotia by the Chief Minister of Assam.
