Earlier, replying during the Question Hour, Home Minister Roshan Warjri informed that the inquiry is being led by Commissioner of Divisions of Khasi and Jaintia Hills. When UPD legislator from Shillong West, Paul Lyngdoh sought to know the sequence of events leading to the attack on the weighbridge, Dr Sangma intervened and said that it will not be appropriate since an inquiry into the incident is in progress. Earlier, Warjri said that the presence of only one weighbridge led to the trucks queuing up in one place. Meanwhile, UDP legislator from Nongthymmai, Jemino Mawthoh said that head the government set up more weighbridges the burden would have eased.
