Wanted poacher Habibur Rahman nabbed by Forest Officials at Biswanath Ghat

A Correspondent, Kaziranga: A wanted poacher, named Habibur Rahman, allegedly involved in the recent poaching of a rhino in Kaziranga National Park, was nabbed by forest officials at the northern range, Bishwanath Ghat.

The poacher was involved in a poaching at Bherverinala of Bagori range of KNP. He was apprehended by a team of forest personnel of the park’s northern range, Bishwanath Ghat.

A mobile phone and Rs 12,000 were seized from the poacher, Range Officer Pranjal Baruah said.

Habibur Rahman's arrest might prove to be beneficial in revealing more details about unscrupulous agencies involved in poaching and illegal animal trade activities in the region.
