Woman Stripped Naked in Karimganj Over Money Dispute, Red Chilly Powder Rubbed on Private Parts to Silence Voice

Karimganj: In a horrifying incident, a shocking video has surfaced on the social media where a woman was stripped naked and assaulted by some villagers in Karimganj’s Magura village.

Reportedly, few of them have also rubbed red chilly powder on her private parts.

What is more shocking in the incident is that the lady was sexually assaulted by some unidentified men on September 10, but no case was lodged thereafter.

As per a report, the victim had received Rs 85,000 under the Centre’s flagship Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY). It was on the same day when six people barged into her house and threatened her to hand over the money to them. They also stripped her inside the house when she refuses to hand over the money to them.

She was also threatened with dire consequences if she reports the matter to the police.

“I was on my way to the police station to report a complaint on the matter when the villagers gheraoed me assaulted me physically, stripped me naked and rubbed chilly powder on my private parts. Few of them were video recording the entire incident,” said the victim lady.

She added, “Those villagers and six men have further threatened her to remain mum or else they would leak the video on social media.”

It was on September 20, when the woman approached the Karimganj Court for justice.

Meanwhile, a case under IPC Sections 120B, 448, 354B, and 392 have been registered against Luinirbul, Luinalpal Sorai, Rimannir Sorai including 12 others for allegedly assaulting the lady.

It may further be mentioned that the lady stays in Magura village with her father-in-law and two sons.
