World Youth Skill Day observed by Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Kendra in Darrang

MANGALDAI: Synchronizing with the worldwide celebration of World Youth Skill Day, the Darrang district centre of Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Kendra (PMKK) on Monday organized a day-long function at its office-cum-training centre at Block Chowk near here and distributed the certificate of participation to the successful trainees.

The PMKK, Darrang since the last two years has been successfully imparting training to the qualified beneficiaries on sewing machine operator, retail sales associates and food and beverages. District Development Commissioner Sweety Gogoi Kalita marked the beginning of the day by lighting an earthen lamp in a traditional way. President of Darrang district committee of BJP, Nilima Devi, chairperson of Kharupetia Municipality Board, Krishna Saha and other dignitaries gave away the certificates to the successful trainees. Earlier, Pankaj Kumar of PMKK, Darrang explained the significance of the day and also gave a detailed picture of the two years’ activities and achievements of the Kendra in the function.

Gossaigaon: On the occasion of World Youth Skill Day, an interactive meet among college students, NCC cadets and Army were organized under the aegis of Red Horn Division at the community hall Habrubil of Gossaigaon subdivision under Kokrajhar district. Around 80 college students attended the programme. Gossaigaon SDO (C) Gaya Prasad Agarwal and motivational speaker Prof. Pradeep Kullu were present in the programme. The programme started with a quiz competition followed by a motivational speech by the respective guests and prize distribution.

There was an interactive session in which a number of queries were raised by the students regarding their career and all were answered by the army officials in a simple and effective manner.
