Youth Arrested By Bharalumukh Police For Looting Rs.16 Lakh

GUWAHATI: Bharalumukh Police arrested a youth, Satyendra Bharali, on the charge of looting Rs 16 lakh along with his colleague from the house of Dr. Anil Agarwal.

The police acted on a case (239/19 under section 381 IPC) filed by the doctor in Bharalumukh police station on May 8. According to the FIR, Satyendra Bharali and Kalyan Gogoi, both hailing from Gohpur, were staying in the chamber and residence of the doctor. The duo, according to FIR, looted Rs 16 lakh from the residence of the doctor. The FIR also says that Kalyan Gogoi returned an amount after being interrogated by the doctor, but fled later.

Kalyan Gogoi is still absconding.
