Youth found dead in Bongaigaon

Bongaigaon: The mysterious death of a person in Bhutiapara area of Chirang district has created panic in the area.

Ramakanta Barman’s (25) body was recovered with several injury marks from his house on Saturday. Local people said that he had quarrelled with his father Prafulla Barman (56) on Friday night.

“Ramakanta was in drunken state. Ramakanta probably beat his father and then Prafulla assaulted and killed Ramakanta. After that he fled from spot. We came to about the incident when Prafulla’s neighbour went to their house.

We have informed the police,” an indigenous person said. Both father and son lived alone in the house. Police have sent the body for post-mortem and started investigation.
