Agartala, June 10: BJP president Amit Shah will visit Tripura on June 18 to release the report card of the BJP-led government in the State with the completion of its 100 days in power.

The first BJP-led government in the State, which is in alliance with the Indigenous Peoples’ Front of Twipra, will be completing its first 100 days in office on June 16.

Pratima Bhaumik, general secretary of the BJP State committee, said Amit Shah will be arriving in Guwahati on June 18 to attend a meeting with the BJP Chief Ministers of the region. In the afternoon he will arrive in Tripura to attend a glittering programme at Netaji Indoor Stadium to release the report card, she added. The BJP-IPFT coalition came to power on April 8 after defeating the CPI (M)-led Left Front that ruled the State for 25 years. The party had made many promises during the run-up for the election and the report card will give a clear account to the people of the State regarding the performance of the BJP government during its first 100 days in power, she said.

The promises made by the BJP leaders include the implementation of the 7th Central Pay Commission for the State government employees and the State Cabinet had also constituted a committee headed by former Chief Secretary of Assam P P Verma for the same. It is learnt that the Verma committee will be submitting its report on June 12 to Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb and a formal declaration in this regard will be made in the State Assembly on June 19.

Meanwhile, the BJP leaders are now busy with its Janasamparka Abhijan. Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb on Sunday visited the house of senior CPI (M) leader and mayor of Agartala Prafullajit Sinha.
