Itanagar: The All Lower Subansiri District Students Union (ALSDU) has called for a 36-hour district bandh call from November 11, in protest against the State Government and the district administration’s failure to address their charters of demands including completion of Trans-Arunachal Highway (TAH), particularly the Potin-Pamluk stretch. The bandh will begin from 5 am on November 11 and culminate at 5 pm on the next day. Referring to its letter given to the DC informing about its first phase of dawn-to-dusk bandh call, ALSDU said that the 2nd phase was to reflect its resentment against the DA for failure to address it charters of demands.

The first phase of 12-hour bandh was called last month.

Fulfilment of charters of demands would bring solutions to serve greater interest of state people, the district in particular, the union pointed out in a statement here.

The demands include, immediate arrest of all fake & forged beneficiaries and all government officials involved in TAH (Potin-Pamluk stretch) compensation scam, their suspension and compulsory retirement; immediate road maintenance; immediate disbursement of payment to all genuine beneficiaries who have not received their compensation and early land acquisition process of RoW of Potin-Pamluk stretch.
