All samples tested negative at Tomo Riba Institute of Health and Medical Sciences

ITANAGAR: The Arunachal Pradesh COVID-19 RT-PCR laboratory at the Tomo Riba Institute of Health and Medical Sciences (TRIHMS) has tested all samples it received till Sunday and all have come back as negative.

On Sunday, 34 samples were received and returned. As of today, there is no backlog," informed TRIHMS laboratory-in-charge Dr Mika Umpo.

Statewide, 186 samples were collected on Sunday and 3349 samples have been collected so far in the state after it made testing mandatory for all those coming back from outside the State.

At present, results of 381 samples are awaited.

The tests are carried out in two laboratories of Arunachal including TRIHMS and IRL besides two in Assam including Regional Medical Research Centre at Dibrugarh and Tezpur Medical College.

According to a senior police officer here, the state has recorded a total 9522 incidents of lockdown violations with arrest of 576 persons.

The state police has also seized 891 vehicles and lodged 203 FIRs besides imposing fine of Rs 22,204,00 lakh, the officer added.
