Itanagar: In yet another bureaucratic reshuffle, the state government has ordered transfer and posting of five senior Arunachal Pradesh Civil Service (APCS) officers with immediate effect in the interest of public service.

As per the ‘order’ issued by Chief Secretary Naresh Kumar, APCS (Admin Grade) officer Pige Ligu has been appointed as the Deputy Commissioner of Papum Pare district against the vacant post.

Prior to this responsibility, Ligu was the Joint Secretary of Transport and Civil Aviation. Previously, Ligu had also been the DC of Papum Pare district.

The posting of new DC, Papum Pare came in barely a day after a stinging press statement from the All Nyishi Students’ Union and All Papum Pare District Students’ Union, which blamed the state government for allegedly ignoring the plight of common people of the district as the post of DC remained vacant for last three months.

Senior APCS Admin Grade officer Kanto Danggen has been given the responsibility of DC, Upper Subansiri against the vacant post, relieving him of present post of Director, Disaster Management & Tourism. Bijoy Talukdar, who was holding the charge of ADC Namsai, has been promoted to the post of DC and posted at Namsai, relieving incumbent Tapasya Raghav, who has been asked to report back to the CS for further posting. ADC Singchung (West Kameng) Taper Pada has been promoted to the post of DC and posted as DC, Upper Siang replacing the incumbent Karma Leki, who has been directed to report to CS for further posting.

Nyapin ADC Kento Riba has been posted as DC Kurung Kumey to replace the incumbent S K Rai, who has been directed to report to the office of CS for further posting.
