Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh Governor Brig (Retd) BD Mishra Tuesday stressed on the need for better cooperation and teamwork amongst the security forces for instilling sense of security among the people, especially the population in border areas of the state.

In a meeting at Raj Bhawan which was attended by Chief Minister Pema Khandu, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of Eastern Command Lt General Manoj Mukund Naravane, GoC of 3 Corps Lt General Gopal R, state Chief Secretary Satya Gopal and DGP S B K Singh, the governor called for extra steps in enhancing the good relationship between the security forces and civil population.

He also emphasised on the pressing need of civil police cooperation with the security forces, a Raj Bhawan communiqué informed.

The governor stressed on the need for working of Army and police personnel in tandem and cohesion saying that there should be no occasion for any friction between the police and Army as both work for the security of the people.
