Arunachal Pradesh: Three Drug Abusers arrested in Roing

ROING: Acting on a tipoff, the Anti Drug Squad of Roing raided the house of Tonnong Modi, located at Forest Colony Roing, on Saturday. During the raid three persons namely Tonnong Modi, Boss Lego of Bolung Village and Tinkle Lego of Meka Village were found to be consuming drug- like substance likely to be heroine.
A paper wrapped envelope containing pink colored powder weighing .45 grams (likely to be heroine), one half torn and partially burnt Rs. 1000 old currency note and 20 pieces of silver foil paper for consuming drugs were seized from their possession. The peddler, identified as Mibom Passing of Meka village who had sold the drugs to them fled from the scene, leaving behind his motorcycle, which has been seized.
The raid and seizures were made in the presence of Town Magistrate-cum- CO Rakesh Tacho by the Police team comprising of Inspector RK Mishra (In-charge Dy SP), Inspector Abraham Taying (Nodal Officer for NDPS), OC CRPF Pawan Kumar, Constables Jingkak Darin, Tania Tarba and Rampel Lego.
A case vide Roing PS FIR No. 47/2018 U/S 27(a) NDPS Act has been registered and Inspector P. Nikang has been entrusted the responsibility of carrying out the investigation. SP Sanjay Kr. Sain lauded the Police team and reiterated that there will be no place for drug abusers and peddlers in Roing and they will be taken to task.
