Arunachal University of Studies (AUS) joins team ‘Mission Indradhanush’

ITANAGAR, July 23: The Namsai-based Arunachal University of Studies (AUS) has joined the Centre’s initiative ‘Mission Indradhanush (MI)’ by assisting the district Health department in its monitoring and supervision. In this regard, a rigorous training was held at the AUS conference hall here recently which was attended by students pursuing Masters programme in Social Work and Sociology, besides undergraduate Sociology students and staff.

The participants were briefed about the need for immunization, schedules, monitoring parameters, coverage plans and reporting pattern by resource persons Dr Girvar S Baria, RRT, Government of India and Dr Tope Yomcha, district immunization coordinator.

Subsequently on July 21, two teams of AUS volunteers under the leadership of the district immunization coordinator and the central officer has started their journey towards playing their roles in making India achieve full immunization by December 2018, an official release informed on Monday.
