Committee approves Prime Minister Krishi Sinchayee Yojana annual action plan

ITANAGAR: State-level sanctioning committee meeting on Prime Minister Krishi Sinchayee Yojana (PMKSY) was held on Tuesday under the chairmanship of Arunachal Pradesh Chief Secretary Dharmendra here.

The major objective of PMKSY is to achieve end-to-end water use system and convergence of investments in irrigation at field level; expand cultivable area under assured irrigation, improve on-farm water use efficiency to reduce wastage of water; enhance the adoption of precision -irrigation and other water saving technologies.

The committee deliberated on three important components of the PMKSY - Har Khet Ko Pani, Per Drop More Crop and watershed development component. The committee also reviewed the physical and financial achievements of PMKSY from the year 2016 till present, official sources informed here. The committee after detailed deliberation approved the Arunachal Pradesh PMKSY Annual Action Plan 2022-23. WRD Secretary Geyum Padu, Secretary (Agriculture) Bidol Tayeng, Secretary (RD) A Talwade, Secretary (Horticulture) Koj Rinyo and senior officers of WRD, agriculture, horticulture and others were present in the meeting.
