Cremation, burial ground inaugurated by MLA Techi Kaso

CHIMPU: A cremation-cum-burial ground was inaugurated by MLA Techi Kaso near Chimpu on Monday. Addressing the gathering, Kaso said it was a long felt demand of the people of the capital complex, specially the non-tribals, for a cremation and a burial ground. Earlier, people had to go all the way to Assam to bury or cremate their loved ones.
The land allotment of the Chimpu cremation and burial ground would be done within a month. A fund of around Rs 3 crore was accorded by the State Government while the land was donated by Kaso.
Former IMC Deputy Chief Councillor Tarh Nachung attended the function as the guest of honour.
Former IMC Councillor Tagru Tadik, Biri Tukdo, Tatung Tania, former ASM Bamang Aman, youth leader Tok Tama, businessmen Taro Tagia, Gobind Gupta and other also addressed the gathering.
