Films influence human mind, society: Arunachal Pradesh Rural Works Department Minister Bamang Felix

Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh Rural Works Department Minister Bamang Felix on Thursday exhorted the children to watch and follow only the good, educative and morally enriching films saying that films influenced human mind and the society at large.
Addressing the inaugural day of the two-day Children’s Film Bonanza at Naharlagun, near here, the minister while appreciating the Administrative Officer of Children’s Film Society of India Rajesh Gohil who had come all the way from Mumbai to conduct the Children’s Film Bonanza described the collaboration of CFSI and state IPR department as historic that would help in screening meaningful films for the school children. Felix asked the school children to take full advantage of the Children’s Film Bonanza and take life’s lessons from the beautiful films on an entire gamut of issues that would be screened for two days.
“Children could change the course of history by dint of their hard work and innovative imagination,” he said and narrated the daring and inspiring story of the young girl from Afghanistan Mala Yousafzai who surmounted all hurdles and stumbling-blocks to get education.
IPR Special Secretary Himanshu Gupta while participating in the deliberation lauded the Children’s Film Society of India for collaborating with the department of IPR to organize such a meaningful event for the children and hoped that the children would not only enjoy the films but also carry home the message conveyed by the films.
He urged the students to study hard and utilize their leisure times gainfully.
In his address Gohil threw light on the initiatives of CFSI to produce and screen children’s films across the country adding that the primary onus of CFSI was to produce quality films for the children to educate them in all spheres of life. He said that children’s films were also produced by the CFSI for the children with hearing and visual disabilities.
