AALO: The Galo Students Union (GSU) in a meeting with the chief branch manager of State Bank of India, Aalo branch, urged the bank to improve its facilities. The GSU pointed out that there is always a deficient of account opening forms in the bank.
Moreover, it asked the manager to restore the passbook update machine and open ATM booths scattered in different places of Aalo township. The union said since the SBI is a multinational public sector bank, it must cater to the needs of its customers in a professional and ethical manner.
The GSU being the Apex Student organisation has social sanction to address such grievances of the Galo people and appealed to the bank authority to improve its basic services.
The GSU said it will conduct a public survey and launch a democratic movement if the basic services are not improved.
