Ninong Ering to introduce Private Member Bill on outgoing Member of Parliament assets, Itanagar

ITANAGAR : Ninong Ering Member of Parliament from Arunachal East constituency who represents Indian National Congress is going to introduce a Private Member Bill on declaration of assets by MPs after end of MP tenure. The Bill will be presented in the upcoming Session of Parliament this year.

Titled ‘The Representation of The People Act (Amendment) Bill, 2017’, the Bill makes it necessary for every Member of Parliament to declare his/her property assets and wealth within 90 days after cessation of their respective tenures. This provision is proposed to be inserted as sub section 75B (1) in the ‘Representation of People Act, 1951’.
