LOHIT (ARUNACHAL PRADESH): Union Home Minister Amit Shah laid the foundation stone of the 51-feet-high Parashuram statue to be installed by Vipra Foundation. Parshuram Kund area will be developed as a major pilgrimage site in the country. In this virtuous work, along with the Central and Arunachal Governments, Vipra Foundation also became a participant

Lord Parashuram, the sixth incarnation of Vishnu along with the soldiers, will keep a close watch on all kinds of infiltration of the dragon (China) from the divine light beam and his "Parshu" will not allow China to enter the Indian border.

For this, a 51-feet high divine statue is being installed at Parashuram Kund located on the Lohit river in Arunachal.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah duly laid the foundation stone on Saturday. Along with this, Shah also unveiled a 6-feet replica of Lord Parashuram installed at the Parashuram Kund site after its renovation.

With this, the beginning of developing the Parshuram Kund area as one of the major pilgrimage sites of the country was started.

The Vipra Foundation, along with the Centre and the Arunachal Government, has become a major partner in this project being developed under the Centre's PRASAD scheme. Vipra Foundation is getting the 51 feet high statue installed. Union Home Minister Amit Shah also appreciated Vipra Foundation for playing an important role in social causes.

Shah was accompanied by Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu, Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Main, Union Minister Kiren Rijiju, several State government ministers, MLAs, Harihar Baba, Vipra Foundation Patron Ratan Sharma, Bhagwan Parshuram Teerthannaya Samiti Chief Convener Dharmanarayan Joshi, Founder of Vipra Foundation Sushil Ojha, National President Radheshyam Guruji, National Vice President Bharatram Tiwari, General Secretary Dr CA Sunil Sharma, Pramod Baregama, National Secretary Parmeshwar Sharma, Sanjay Trivedi, Tolaram Tawaniya along with a large number of administrative and police officers were present.

Vipra Foundation will take cooperation from all the 'Sanatanis' in the installation of the statue so that Parashuramji can end the wrong myth that Parashuramji is worshipped only by Brahmins.

The Central Government's 'Prasad' scheme is under the Ministry of Tourism and this area is being developed as a tourist and religious destination. For this, in the 75-hectare action plan prepared by the Arunachal government, many convenient areas including a riverfront restaurant, viewpoint, and children's park will be developed. In mythological texts, bathing in Parshuram Kund on Makar Sankranti is considered to get free from all the sins. A fair is organized here on Makar Sankranti, in which a large number of devotees come to take a dip in Parashuram Kund. There are also plans to expand this fair.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is taking special interest in developing Parashuram Kund a major pilgrimage site of the country on the lines of Ayodhya-Kashi. In 2021, it was PM Modi who first sent Union Water Resources Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat to lay the foundation stone of Parshuram Kund's development. Gajendra Singh Shekhawat also has an important contribution to the idol installation work. National award-winning country's eminent sculptor Naresh Kumawat is building this divine idol for the Vipra Foundation.
