Itanagar: Pasighat-based Women Against Social Evils (WASE), a registered NGO in East Siang district, while exemplifying the true spirit of the joy of giving, came together to donate a 5kv digital voltage stabilizer at the Blood Bank of Bakin Pertin General Hospital & Training Centre.

The stabilizer which was donated on Friday, was received by Dr D Raina, Joint Director of Health Services and Dr Y R Darang, Medical Superintendent of the hospital in a simple ceremony held on the occasion.

It is worth mentioning here that recently at the blood bank of the hospital; a high-end machine to separate components of blood was installed to allow patients to be infused with only the required and necessary components of blood and not whole blood as was being done before.

The full operationalization of the machine would help poor patients who would need to travel out of the state for components separation treatment, informed hospital sources.

“As this machine need stable power supply with accuracy of voltage at all times and looking at the erratic voltage situation, the generous act of WASE mother’s group will go a long way in the optimum functioning of the machine,” said Dr Raina.

“Big congratulation to the citizens of the centurion town and thanks to WASE,” said Dr Kaling Jerang, Senior Pathologist at the hospital.
