Report on socio-economic status of women released

Itanagar, May 27: The "Research Report on Socio-Economic Status of Women in Arunachal Pradesh" was unveiled during a programme organized by Dristi Stree Adhyayan Prabodhan Kendra (DSAPK) in a city hotel here Saturday evening. The programme was graced by Art and Culture Minister Mohesh Chai and Zilpha Modi, assistant professor, RGU. Anjali Deshpandey, secretary DSAPK highlighted the major issues related to the decreasing ratio and challenges faced by different states of India specially in Haryana where women are being bought from other part of country. Geeta Gunde, founder trustee, DSAPK raised different issues for improving the status of women by saying "husband and wife are complementary to each other".
