Itanagar: The third round of Sarkar Apke Dwar and Jan Sunwai camp of Tawang district in Arunachal Pradesh was held on Thursday at Luguthang village.

Luguthang is one of the most remote villages not connected by road.

The team of officers and officials from district administration started their journey early morning on Wednesday by vehicle up to Thingbu Hydel and reached the village on foot crossing mountain footpaths in very cold temperature. During the camp, senior medical officer from Jang, Dr Rinchin Neema attended to around 60 patients of all ages including one pregnant lady. Children under 5 years of age and the pregnant lady were given necessary vaccination, an official release informed here.

The administrative officers including Thingbu EAC Pemtan Monpa and Circle Officer Sang Norbu prepared and issued four ST certificates, three PRCs and two birth certificates, while Arunachal Pradesh Energy Development Agency (APEDA) junior engineer Nawang Tsering Bapu distributed 50 LED bulbs to the villagers.

Taking optimum benefits of the camp, the villagers who, are mainly yak herders urged senior veterinary doctor Thupten Tashi to attend to sick livestocks.

The villagers were also made aware of various welfare schemes launched by the state and central governments, the release added.
