SSB (Sashastra Seema Bal) seizes 1.7 quintals of cannabis at Balemu

MANGALDAI: The vigilant and alert personnel of 23 Battalion of SSB (Sashastra Seema Bal) has struck again against the drug peddlers in Balemu area of Arunachal Pradesh and recovered 1.7 quintals of cannabis recently.

Acting on a tip-off, personnel of 23 Battalion of SSB, Lalpool seized this huge quantity of cannabis hidden under dense foliage of the Himalayan foothills. It's pertinent to mention here that drug peddlers of this area have been thriving on the huge demand for cannabis of this area.

The seized cannabis was handed over to the Police Station at Balemu of West Kemang district in Arunachal Pradesh.

On this breakthrough, the Commandant of 23 Battalion SSB, Lalpool, Rohitashwa has congratulated the in-charges of the BOP (Border Out Post) of Sluice Gate and Bhairabkunda; and exhorted them to continue with their good work.
