Students need quality education: MLA Takam Pario

Itanagar: MLA of 18th Palin Chambang assembly constituency Takam Pario inaugurated the 10th annual sports, literary & cultural celebration of Government higher secondary school, New Palin on Wednesday.

Speaking on the day Pario requested the students to study dedicatedly and participate in every academic activity for all round development of health and mind. He said, student life should not only be confined to study and co curricular activities should be included to it. “Students are the nation builders and thus participate in all cultural and literary activities to know more about culture and learn more about the literary activities which will help in future course of study,” he added. Pario also said that students prefer to go out of state for further study but one should know that education is all same until you have experienced teachers and quality teaching. And this quality education is also being imparted to the students of the district as many experienced lecturers are in the district degree college.

Addressing the gathering as guest of honor executive engineer, PHED Likha Tekhi said that one should stick to own district for further study as there is already a degree college. He also informed that many times money has been sanctioned in the area of quality education.

“Though we have large population in the district as it is newly created thus one should support each other for various development of infrastructure beside creating hurdles as students have more power to development,” he said. He urged the players to keep up their spirit of optimism and persevacne to achieve success in their lives. He also said that the state government has initiated several steps to promote sports in the state and make the best use of sports quota too.

Meanwhile, the principal of government degree college PC Tago said that there is a very wrong concept of “we can’t do” and “tribal cannot be better in Science & Mathematics” which should be white washed from the commoners mind. “Hard work and discipline is the only tool that can bring change in it. We have to challenge the challenges and obstacles that come under our way so as to achieve our goal,” he added.
