Ultimatum by panel of indigenous people in Arunachal

ITANAGAR: The core committee of indigenous people, those have been fighting against the statement of DCM Chowna Mein in which he assured granting of PRC to the Non _APST settled at Lekang circle of Namsai district has served an ultimatum to recall the statement by January 07, 2019.
Addressing the reporters here at Press Club, the chairman of core committee Pei Topu said that the Arunachal is a protected state and Bengal Eastern Frontier Regulation (BEFR) 1873 act should not be violated.
He said that the time has come to show solidarity against Chief Minister and DCM of Arunachal Pradesh decision to grant PRC to the Non APST of lekang.
The committee also demand to apprehend those protesters of lekang constituency who tried to block the National Highways 52 road recently.
Committee members further appealed the Assam Moran Student Union (AMSU) not to interfere in the internal affairs of Arunachal Pradesh, which is a uncalled and inappropriate to jump into other state’s matter for behest interest.
“We will not let snatch our ancestors land by non-tribal residing in the state rather we will put more effort to protect our land,” said Pei condemning former minister Bida Taku for showing sympathy upon non APST people of Lekang constituency under the influence of up coming general election.
Stating that in due course of democratic movement matter related to issue of PRC to non APST if anything untoward incident occurs then state government should have to take entire responsible, the committee members also like minded, well wisher, societies and organizations to come forward and joint in the fight which meant for protection of indigenous people of the state.
