Kokrajhar: The 12-hour BTC area bandh call given by Bengali Students’ Youth Federation, BTC, in protest against the kidnapping of garage owner Pradip Sheal from Serfanguri in the last part of September passed off peacefully, evoking a total response in Kokrajhar on Monday. The bandh hit the normal functioning of government offices while shops and business establishments closed their shutters during the bandh hours. All kinds of long-distance vehicles did not ply on the road. However, no untoward incident was reported from any part of the district.
