12-year old boy allegedly commits suicide

TANGLA: In a mysterious incident, a 12-year old boy allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself from a bamboo pole in his residence in Dakhin Nalbari village under Tangla PS in Udalguri district on Sunday morning when the boy’s grandmother and sister were not at home.

According to police, the boy, identified as Bibek Nag alias Nivash, was a seventh standard student of Satgari ME School who was residing at his maternal parents’ residence along with his sister. The body of the child was retrieved by police in presence of Executive Magistrate Kartik Kathar who suspected it to be a case of suicide by prima-facie circumstances.
