15 year old Girl Escapes Alleged Gang Rape Attempt in Goalpara

Goalpara: At a time when gang rapes and molestation cases are making headlines in the mainstream media, a 15-year-old minor girl managed to escape from the clutches of four men in Goalpara district.

As per a report, the four miscreants allegedly attempted to rape her after kidnapping her on Monday.

It may be mentioned that one of the miscreants along with three accomplices kidnapped the 15-year-old girl when she was on her way for tuition classes at Kampor Bazaar area and taken her to a forest area where they attempted to rape her on September 20.

The girl, however, fought with the miscreants and escaped from their clutch, said the police report.

Local people hearing her cries got hold of the victim girl and rescued her. They also informed the matter to her family members before taking her to the residence.

The girl's family lodged a police complaint about the incident at Mornoi police station.

Meanwhile, all the four accused were arrested by police.

The girl was admitted to Goalpara Civil Hospital for treatment.
