36 cured COVID-19 patients discharged in Hailakandi district

36 COVID-19 patients have been cured and discharged from hospitals in Hailakandi district

HAILAKANDI: 36 COVID-19 patients have been cured and discharged from hospitals in Hailakandi district. Health authorities here disclosed that 19 COVID-19 patients after swab sample tested negative have been discharged from the SK Roy designated COVID-19 Civil Hospital while 14 from the Silchar Medical College and Hospital and three from Gauhati Medical College and Hospital. With this, the total number of active cases in the district now count 40.

There are 34 COVID-19 infected persons at the isolation wards of the civil hospital and five others at SMC&H. 329 persons arrived by flight from Mumbai and by buses from Guwahati at Dholeswari Inbound Passenger Facilitation Centre here on Tuesday. Following collection of swab samples and screening, the persons were put under facility quarantine centres and home quarantine.

There are presently 1,094 persons under 20 institutional quarantine centres and 857 under home quarantine. 77 persons were released from institutional quarantine facility on Wednesday and put under home quarantine. Of the 2,738 swab samples taken, 1,868 turned out to be negative. Results of 754 swab samples are awaited. No fresh COVID-19 case was detected on Wednesday while 168 swab samples tested negative. The total COVID-19 positive cases stands at 76, including one death.
