3,708 people in Lakhimpur complete 28-day home quarantine period

LAKHIMPUR: The Lakhimpur District Health Department sent no swab samples to the Regional Viral Research and Diagnostic Laboratory, ICMR, RMRC of Dibrugarh district for COVID-19 test on Saturday, Sunday and Monday. Notably, a total of 90 swab samples of suspected persons from the district were sent to the aforesaid ICMR for the detection of coronavirus during the past days. Of them, 89 swab samples tested negative while one was found positive for the fatal virus.

At present, a total of 25 persons have been kept in the mass quarantine facility of the district. Of them, 14 persons have been kept in the COVID-19 Hospital of the district while 11 persons have been kept in the mass quarantine facility set up at OPD College.

The number of people stamped for home quarantine in the district rose to 4,833 on Sunday. The Health Department stamped 14 people of the district for home quarantine on Saturday, 35 people on Sunday and 114 people on Monday. On the other hand, 213 persons of the district on Saturday, 117 people on Sunday and 112 people on Monday, with a cumulative total of 3,708, completed their 28-day long period of home quarantine in the district.
