LAKHIMPUR: Four more COVID-19 patients were detected in Lakhimpur on Friday.

They have been identified as Manik Guria (23) of Sonapur, Laluk, Raj Payeng (25) of Adisuti, Jitul Tayung (25) of Dambukial and Jintu Gogoi of Dhakuakhana. They are also returnees from other States. Manik Guria returned home from New Delhi and reached Lakhimpur on June 2. Raj Payeng and Jitul Tayung came back home from their workplaces in Maharashtra on the same day. Jintu Gogoi came from Chennai by flight on June 3. The former three patients were already admitted in the Dedicated COVID Health Centre after their swab test results were reported positive for coronavirus while Jintu Gogoi was admitted in Boginadi Model Hospital.

On the other hand, five patients in the district were discharged from the Dedicated COVID Health Centre on Thursday. These patients are Siranjit Doley, Debojit Saikia, Kanai Sarkar, Kolai Kutum and Prabhat Doley.
