All Assam Students’ Union members arrested for showing black flags

Diphu: Karbi Anglong Police arrested some members of the All Assam Students’ Union (AASU), Karbi Anglong unit for protesting and displaying black flags during the visit of State Finance, Health and PWD Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma to Diphu Medical College on Tuesday.

The arrested protesters were later taken to Diphu police station. Earlier, Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma with KAAC CEM Tuliram Ronghang and several EMs and MACs visited Diphu Medical College and Hospital. The officials from the Health and Family Welfare Department informed the minister that admission for indoor patients would start from December 11. The minister advised the doctors to ensure that the hospital provided better service to patients.
