‘Ami’ Distributes School Items To Flood-Hit Students

Bongaigaon: It was a WhatsApp group of few youths of Bongaigaon. Name of the group is ‘Ami’ which means we. But not like other WhatsApp groups for messaging jokes, good morning and good evening posts, it is used only for constructive and innovative thinking. The members of the group decided to help the flood-affected students. They did it from their own income. A team of ‘Ami’ had visited a flood-affected village of Bongaigaon namely ‘Sesapani’ on Monday and distributed pen, pencil, books, school bags among 13 students. Books and pen were also distributed among few other students. The group consists of 57 members and a nine member team, consisting of Kandarpa Ray, Nanda Ray, Raju Ray, Hitesh Ray, Barnadip Ray, Ujjal Ray, Jyotisankar Choudhury, Pabitra Ray and Dharam Ranjan Ray moved to Sesapani on Monday.
