‘Army Public School Doing Well All over India’- Lt. Gen Sunil Srivastava

JORHAT: “Army Public School is doing very well all over India and is far better than the Kendriya Vidyalayas,” said Lt. Gen Sunil Srivastava, VSM, COS and chairman of administration, Eastern Command, who was the chief guest at the Eastern Command’s Army Public School chairmen and principals meet, 2018 that kicked off at the Army Public School, Charaibahi, Jorhat on Wednesday. The Lieutenant General addressed the principals from the Eastern Command’s Army Public Schools and said that such a forum would help establish a proper education system. He said that it was the responsibility of the principals, chairmen and board of directions to streamline the education process.

Earlier, the chairman of the organizing committee, Brig MC Pant welcomed the delegates from various military stations from all over the Eastern Range. Army Public School, Jorhat was awarded for maximum progress in the Class XII board exam. The award was presented to Yasmin Kaur Bains, the Principal of the school.

Hosted by APS Jorhat, the Eastern Command chairmen, and principals’ meet, 2018 was attended by the nominated chairmen and principals of various Army Commands of the country and the chairmen and Principals of 25 schools under the Eastern Command. A number of issues related to academics and other activities of the school were discussed. The meet culminated with a cultural programme by the students of APS, Jorhat.
