Assam BJP Stages Protest, Burns Effigy of Bilawal Bhutto
BJP supporters throughout the nation flocked to the streets to burn Bhutto effigies after he responded to External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar with a statement.

GUWAHATI: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Saturday organised a national demonstration against Pakistan's Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto after he referred Prime Minister Narendra Modi as the "butcher of Gujarat." BJP supporters throughout the nation flocked to the streets to burn Bhutto effigies after he responded to External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar with a statement.
Along with the rest of the states, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) workers of Assam too staged the protest at Latasil Playground in Guwahati. National General Secretary of BJP Dilip Saikia, Assam Minister of Housing and Urban Affairs and Irrigation, Ashok Singhal, State General Secretary Diplu Ranjan Sarma, Guwahati Municipal Corporation Mayor Mrigen Sarania, Deputy Mayor Smita Roy were also present in the protest. Addressing the workers who participated in the demonstration, Dilip Saikia stated that Pakistan's politics is unstable and is a threat to human civilization. He further added that every work of Pakistan has always instigated for terrorism. He also added that Pakistan is the hub of terrorism in the world. Terrorism is the main industry of the country as Pakistan is suffering from political unrest and poor economic condition.
On the other hand, State General Secretary Diplu Ranjan Sarma stated that Bilawal Bhutto is a terrorist leader. He also stated that Pakistan is a threat to mankind because the country is the epicenter of terrorism.
After burning the effigy of Bilawal Bhutto, the Bharatiya Janta party's Yuva Morcha met Governor of Assam Prof Jagdish Mukhi and submitted a memorandum. State General Secretary of Bharatiya Janata Party Yuva Morcha Raktim Khataniar, Guwahati City's president Niharendra Sarma, State Vice president Gautam Sarma, Tridip Jyoti Moran, D. Basumatary and Jun Jyoti Kashyap were present while submitting the memorandum. In this memorandum, they clearly stated that Billawal Bhutto should seek forgiveness from Indians for hurting the sentiments by bis comments without further delay. If the minister fails to seek forgiveness, then the Yuva Morcha will take strict action.
