Assam Chief Secretary Jishnu Barua reviews COVID situation in Haflong

HAFLONG: To take the stock of COVID situation in Dima Hasao, Assam Chief Secretary, Jishnu Barua visited Haflong on Sunday.

The Chief Secretary held an important meeting with the district administration, N C Hills Autonomous Council Authority, senior officials of medical department at Haflong Circuit House. The meeting was attended by DC, Paul Barua, SP, Jayant Sing, ADC, Rajib Roy, NCHAC Secretary, Health, T T Daulagupu and joint director of medical and health services.

Answering the question of media persons, he said, "Though the situation is under control now, but nothing could be said what may happen within the coming week or 10 days."

He underlined that everybody should abide by the government's SOPs strictly otherwise situation may go out of control. He appealed to the business communities of Haflong to close their institutions by 6 pm considering the gravity of the situation.
