Assam Pradesh Congress Committee steps up political activities in Udalguri

UDALGURI: "Prodeep Kumar Daimary is the most capable leader of this region. He is also a popular and mass leader of the BTC area. It is up to you to make Prodeep Kumar Daimary the winner in the 38 No Bhairabkunda constituency," said Durga Das Boro, the Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) general secretary and also the in-charge of BTC election committee. He also declared Prodeep Kumar Daimary as probable Congress candidate from 69 Udalguri constituency for the legislative assembly election.

The Congress party has stepped up its political activities in Udalguri district and its election campaign for the BTC election has gained momentum. The Congress party has filed four candidates in the district. The Udalguri district Congress committee organized a grand joining programme at Rajiv Bhavan at Golma Chowk in Udalguri. The meeting was chaired by Dhaneswar Boro, the acting president of Udalguri district Congress committee.

Nurul Huda, the Congress MLA of Rupahihat, Nagaon, is in-charge of 38 No Bhairabkunda constituency. He lauded Prodeep Kumar Daimary for his clean image and urged people to keep faith in the Congress party.

Prodeep Kumar Daimary, the Congress candidate for 38 No. Bhairabkunda constituency, assured all sections of people that he would raise their issues in the BTC assembly. A total of 157 people from various ethnic communities joined the Congress on the occasion.
