MORIGAON: An awareness camp on 'Early Intervention and Rehabilitation for SC/ST Community', organized by the Banuwa Santha, Assam was held at Sidhabari in Morigaon on Sunday. The day-long programme began with the hoisting of the BanuwaSantha's flag by president KhirudNath. Thereafter a plantation drive programme was held which was opened by president of SVDC BirenSaikia. An open meeting related to the awareness programme was also held which was formally inaugurated by former CEM of TAC Paban Manta. Special educator of physically and visually challenged persons Midusmita Devi was also present. The meeting also discussed about various schemes implemented by the government for the physically and visually challenged persons. Altogether 105 persons including physically and visually challenged persons took part in the camp.
